KOSHER RESTAURANT DESTROYED IN POSSIBLE MONTREAL HATE-MOTIVATED ARSON

Montreal police are investigating a devastating fire at Nöam, a kosher restaurant on Décarie Boulevard, after evidence found at the scene suggested the blaze was deliberately set. The fire caused extensive damage, and police said someone was seen leaving the property shortly after it began. The case was transferred to the arson squad, which is reviewing surveillance footage.

Quebec Liberal MP Anthony Housefather called for the incident to be investigated as a possible hate crime, describing it as an apparent arson attack on a Jewish-owned business. Police have said a motive has not yet been established.
